The Green Park platform clearly sign posts how to move once you have arrived. There are three options at this station: exit the Underground or move to Jubilee line and Piccadilly line platforms.
The same applies to websites: when user journeys cross paths new sign posting is required to keep movement and navigation clear to people.
Take a close look at the sign shown here. There are five methods of communicating in this image:
1. Colour coding
2. Use of words
3. Use of arrow symbols
4. Use of icons (the disabled and mother / child image means there's a lift)
5. and the separation of the sign into three parts. The two lines divided by the option to exit in the centre.
