My laptop got stolen again. Someone broke into my apartment last Friday night and took it (and some other stuff). My last laptop was stolen in January out of my office. I'm actually in total shock (and debt having bought another one). I don't even have a category on my blog for something like this. Sheesh!

Myself and Dave Chislette have been working on a publishing project and concept for the past 4 years. It's called IMPI. It aims to increase the reading, writing and sale of SA fiction and generally add to a body of culture products to come out of SA.

The big news is that the online Mail & Guardian have come on board as a partner to drive traffic, manage ad sales, endorse and help with the build and maintenance.

We're still looking for start up funding so if you know anyone, organisation, institution or corporate that has an interested in the value of the written word then please let me know.

I spent the day working with the folks from www.homecomingrevolution.co.za on Monday. They're a non profit interested in researching the ever growing South African diaspora and essentially helping people to return (and thus reversing the brain drain). As we know the skills shortage in SA is a huge problem so I'm really enjoying the content and purpose behind this project. We also applied a journey based approach to the process of returning which was great. I love applying that approach on non-commercial projects.
