Together with web design company Saturn and Jack! we have won the pitch and been awarded the Virgin Mobile SA account. This will be jh-01's second encounter with Virgin - we helped them with their launch in South Africa last year.

We'd like to add that the compeition was stiff: we were up against the likes of Gloo and Presenze and like to believe that it is our interest in real customer centricity through UX that tipped the scales (but then we would say that wouldn't we ;)

We have been approached by Microsoft South Africa to partner with them in delivering user experience design solutions for their corporate clients. Our first project is with Standard Bank - I can't say anymore but would dearly love to. The project is basically what every UX designer wishes for: visionary, multi-channel, real world and virtual. It's a wonderful opportunity to work with both Microsoft and Standard Bank.

We would like to add that this marks a significant acknowledgement from two major players of the importance and benefit that UX has to offer. In terms of looking at things from a top down perspective this could mark the beginning of UXD's uptake in South Africa - well, we hope so.
