Welcome: Nausher, Belinda and Chantel

jh-01 is delighted to introduce three new members to the team. Nausher Rahman joins us as Account Director, Belinda Stein is assisting with business analysis and Chantel Kirkwood is bringing order to chaos looking after finances, booking keeping and office management.

Global Trader: UX is the solution

We commend local online share trading visionaries Global Trader 247 for embracing UX as their strategy to get through the global economic melt down. GT 247 were the first online share trading company to come out of SA and have recently integrated user experience into their teams to deliver a tactical solution to attract and retain customers at this difficult time.

jh-01 will be consulting in a UX capacity as well as assisting with a full IA redesign, interface look & feel overhaul and content delivery.

Standard Bank UXD framework

Following on from our multi-channel visioning project for Standard Bank with Microsoft last year, jh-01 has been re-engaged to realise the user experience. The Bank wide roll-out of SAP is creating amazing multi-channel opportunities and a radically new user experience framework is required to encourage behaviour that will unlock the potential in practise. At present the roll out will cover most staff assisted channels (branch, call centre, mobile and back-office) and later will extend to remaining channels such as self-service.

Enterprise IA is one thing but enterprise UX is another. And of course the timelines are just short of insane. Nonetheless we're loving the challenge and working incredibly closely with a client that's brave enough to use the UX process as the basis for the front-end of the roll-out.

Highlights so far: conducting just short of 100 user interviews and observation sessions in one week with a team of 7 individuals as part of our research phase.

For those of you who don't know Standard Bank they're the oldest Bank in South Africa and one of the ‘big four’ in retail Banking. They have a strong international presence though not in the retail space. This project will impact 9 million customers (both personal and business) and over 10 000 staff members. What a rush!

Online casinos audit & analysis

SlickStreet Marketing, a major international player in online casino, poker and bingo games asked for help optimising their conversions and elevating their many brands a notch or two. This was a tall order for a company that is already remarkably successful in their industry. We conducted in-depth analytics to understand current behaviour and build recommendatios through a user experience best practise audit from website through registration to gaming applications. So far the project has been an enormous success. Look out for the case study coming soon on jh-01.com

Momentum intranet (skin)

We've just completed skinning the Momentum intranet. Tight brand guidelines helped us in creating a look for the intranet that reflects what the company values most while improving ease and usability. This is our second intervention to improve enterprise intranets - the first being for global real estate giants Pam Golding Properties where a full UX process was rolled out in addition to the interface design.
